Kevin left school in 1963 to join National Provincial Bank Ltd., a UK based joint stock bank. The bank subsequently merged with a competitor high street bank to form National Westminster Bank Ltd. After almost 18 years, whereby he earned his professional qualification, Associate Member of the Institute of Bankers (ACIB), Kevin resigned his position as a junior manager working in Lombard Street City Office in the City of London.

He emigrated to the Cayman Islands in 1981 to work for almost 4 years as an administrator of insurance companies for Bank of Nova Scotia Trust Company (Cayman) Ltd. He resigned his position in 1984 and with 3 colleagues from the same trust company, established Samuel Montagu (Cayman) Ltd. This bank changed its’ name to Midland Bank Trust Company (Cayman) Ltd when it became wholly owned by Midland Bank Holdings plc. A further name change occurred following the acquisition of Midland Bank by HSBC Holdings plc, when it became HSBC Financial Services (Cayman) Ltd.

Kevin retired on completion of 20 years service in 2004 at the age of 59. On retirement he was a director of the bank, Head of Compliance of the Cayman entity, Area Compliance Officer of the HSBC Group, Head of Human Resources and Financial Comptroller.

He was appointed non executive director on Active Services on 1st January 2009.

He is married with two adult children and maintains a home in Grand Cayman and Southern England. His interests include travel, sports, animal welfare and fine wines.
