Richard Le Tocq is Active Group Chief Operating Officer. He has 20 years of experience in financial services and holds Chartered status in three disciplines with the following professional bodies: 

Chartered Director (C. Dir) - Institute of Directors (IOD)

Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) - Association of Chartered Certified Accountants

Chartered Insurer (FCII) - Chartered Insurance Institute

Prior to joining the Active Group Richard was Chief Operating Officer of Aon Insurance Managers (Guernsey) Limited, a Director of Aon Services (Guernsey) Limited and Managing Director of JLT Risk Solutions (Guernsey) Limited (now JLT Insurance Management).

He has a strong corporate governance background and 15 years of board room experience having worked with CEOs, CFOs, Treasurers, Risk Managers of PLCs, Government entities, partnerships, professional bodies and privately held companies.

He has held directorships of a portfolio of insurance, reinsurance, risk finance, trust and financial services companies including protected cell companies (PCCs) and incorporated cell companies (ICCs). 

His practical experience of and exposure to a wide variety of industries (including accountants, aviation, banking, construction, electronics, energy generation and distribution, financial services, facilities management, lawyers, motor, oil, pharmaceuticals, real estate and retail) and geographic markets is valuable in his role as a non- executive director (NED) of (private equity) funds.

Richard is a committee member of the Guernsey Branch of the Institute of Directors (IOD), past Council Member of Guernsey International Business Association (GIBA) and past Chairman of the Guernsey International Insurance Association (GIIA) (previously known as Guernsey Insurance Company Management Association (GICMA)).

Richard holds independent NED positions for Guernsey regulated captive insurance companies and investment funds.
